How to Automate 3 x 3 grid for Instagram, using Photoshop
Shown here on
Tableau Public. I've generated a simple means of utilizing Photoshops native features, to change the canvas size down to the correct square. I've used my wives pregnant photos to offer her 3x3 grid posts for Instagram.
Now she can find what she likes, or use it as a means to find art within the photography.

Because I didn't want to spend $1.99 on an app that generates grids, I decided I wanted to be able to do the grids across large quantities of photos, without wasting time with an application that is on my mobile phone.
Now with this workflow, I can generate thousands of 3 x 3 grids without having to mess with the app store.
The above is an automated 2000x2000 grid!

I wrote this down on my notebook, and kept trying to do something other than a square, and landed on the square at 2000x2000 total pixels.
Now simply type the dimensions necessary to generate the box desired.
You can jump into 4x4 or larger. Tableau Public offers a 4x4 grid and 3x3 for responsive, I used 3x3 to offer my wife 100+ images to use for her Instagram posts.
Regretabbly making a 3x3 grid is currently spammed to the top by
